A table tennis table must be stable when you play, but also when it is stored away. A model with brakes has a clear advantage in terms of stability over a model without them. Once unfolded, however, this is not the only element that keeps a table in place. The legs also play an important role. It is not uncommon to bump into the table while playing when you get carried away by the game. A table with thicker legs will remain more stable in such situations than a table with thinner legs and a lighter frame.

The table frame
The frame is made of an anti-corrosion alloy of steel/aluminium/zinc. It plays an important role in stability, but especially in the flatness of the table. The higher it is, the better it fulfils its reinforcing function.
The brakes
