Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ

How do I decide if I need an indoor or outdoor ping-pong table?

Indoor tables are not weatherproof but provide excellent bounce and great value for money. However, they should not be stored in damp places such as sheds or garages, as humid conditions can cause the playing surface to crack. Exposure to sunlight, even briefly, can also warp the table. Outdoor tables are more impact-resistant and can stay outside all year round; they simply last longer. Make the right choice by discovering all of Cornilleau's tips for choosing between an indoor or outdoor table.

How do I assemble my ping-pong table?

Tables are delivered as a kit in a single package with a significant number of pre-assembled parts. Assembly takes between 1:00 and 1:30 hours with 2 people.

What are the main differences between the most economical and the most expensive ping-pong tables?

As you move up the Cornilleau range, besides the higher price, the playing surface is thicker (for better bounce), the legs are sturdier, the frames are heavier, the wheels are wider, and the net and posts have more adjustment options. You also benefit from premium finishes such as MATTOP (for outdoor tables) or SKILTOP (for indoor tables).

Is there a specific range of ping-pong tables for schools?

Yes, Cornilleau manufactures a wide variety of tables, both indoor and outdoor, for schools, clubs, and communities. Particular attention has been paid to the durability of materials for intensive use. There is also a range of bats specially designed for schools.

Can all ping-pong tables be used for solo play?

All tables on wheels can be used for training. Simply fold one half of the table to create a surface to play against. Only static tables (Park Table, Pro 510, and Competition 610) do not offer this feature.

Which type of ball should I choose?

The choice of ping-pong balls depends on your use and skill level. For indoor or outdoor play, there are balls adapted to each environment. Outdoor balls are heavier and sturdier to resist light winds. The choice of indoor balls is determined by your requirements and level, rated from one to three stars.

What color ping-pong table should I choose: blue, gray, or green?

It’s primarily a matter of taste. In the sport, blue has traditionally been the standard color. For several years, Cornilleau has offered gray for its various tops, and this color is now a reference point in the market and even in competitions.

At what age can you start playing ping-pong?

Children can start enjoying table tennis as early as 4 or 5 years old. Some clubs offer "Baby Ping" classes. For the youngest players, there are mini tables with adjustable heights. Standard tables have a playing height of 76 cm and are accessible to children from age 6 or 7.
